I want to give myself bangs tonight (not just a trim, I don’t have any bangs at all right now) and I’ve looked up videos and tutorials and almost every one of them have advised me to not use safety scissors, but shears. Why? Will it be okay if I just use regular scissors I have at home since I don’t own a pair of shears?
Well for starters, shears are made for cutting hair. They are sharper and a bit thinner than like safety scissors. Safety scissors have a blunt edge and won’t give your hair a nice clean cut. It will look kinda choppy and like messy I guess you could say. If you don’t care about the possibility of your bangs looking janky them. I’m not saying that safety scissors won’t work. They will I know for a fact(: my aunt cut my sisters hair with kitchen scissors once:P but she’s a professional hair dresser. Just take your time if your gonna use them!!(:
