Hello,

Well I have been thinking about starting Level 2 NVQ in Barbering next year and I have few mates which will let me cut their hair before the course to get some practise. I want to buy some decent scissors really cheap which I can learn basic ways of holding them and get use to everything before starting the course and buying expensive branded pair. Would any one recommend what I should buy I’m not really bothered about the brand as I am only willing to spend like £10-£20 for pair of normal scissors and thinning ones I had a look on ebay but I really don’t know what to look for in scissors as I have never had any hairdressing experience what so ever.

That’s what I was looking at:

I prefer buying in a trusted store, I bought mine at safrons, an online store with free shipping to Canada and US. I recommend a very good brand of professional scissors, are the Saki Katana Hairdressing Scissors Set, made in hardened japanese steel are the best performing and most durable shears I recommend, great for beginning or student hairdressers, with extra long crane shape handle with ball-bearing screw make cutting fantastic smooth. You can check them out at http://www.safrons.com/saki-katana-hairdressing-scissors-set.html Hope it helped :)
